The system has at least one resonator, with a conical diffusor chamber, connected to a motor cylinder discharge slot. A circular intermediate chamber opens into a collection vessel. The vessel is connected via a chamber to a catalytic converter, which is connected to a silencer. Each cylinder has one resonator (15), with diffusor chamber (22) next to the discharge slot. The resonator is connected to the collection vessel (16) via a conical chamber (26), which extends from the intermediate chamber (24). A transition chamber (30) is located between the cylindrical connection chamber (31) and the collection vessel. The cone angle (a) of the diffusor chamber is smaller than the cone angle (b) of the conical chamber. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple exhaust system for two-stroke engine giving favourable engine torque and improved exhaust emissions.
