Pneumatically actuated disc brake with swivel lever - has support face between adjusting spindle(s) and compression member(s) with peripheral surface

The brake calliper (2) contains the brake disc (1) and has at one side a clamp (3) with a swivelling lever (4,4a), abutting a traverse (7) parallel to the rotation axis via an eccentric (6). Adjusting spindles are screwed in the traverse. The spindles act on a slidable brake shoe (10) via compression members at their ends facing the brake disc. The support face between the spindles and the compression members has at least one peripheral surface, whose normal aligned with the compression members points outwards w.r.t. the spindle axes. USE/ADVANTAGE - For heavy vehicles, with low-cost prevention of radial and peripheral wear.
