The carrier (1) has a housing (2) with guide grooves (4) at two opposite sides for a number of complete adjacent inserts (5). A pcb with plug strips for the complementary strips of the inserts (5) is fixed between the grooves (4) on the housing base (6). The strips of the inserts (5) are attached to the end of a pcb fixed in a rigid frame. The end of the pcb with the plug strips is spaced a relatively large distance from the nearest attachment point and can be moved perpendicularly to the pcb plane. The carrier (1) is tightened when it has been completely filled with inserts (5). To hold the inserts (5), the carrier (1) has two screw fasteners (9) on only one side. As they are tightened, the whole package is pressed against abutment surfaces (17) on the opposite side of the carrier (1). ADVANTAGE - Simple efficient construction using a minimum of individual parts.
