TOOL STAND, IN PARTICULAR FOR STONE BORERS AND SAWS

A tool stand (106) has at least one base (12) that carries at least one vertical guidebeam (18). A sliding carriage (28) is slidingly guided on this vertical guidebeam (18) and carries in turn another guidebeam (18''). A stone borer or a stone saw tool (98) is held on the second guidebeam (18''). In this case, the second guidebeam (18'') is movably mounted on another sliding carriage fixedly or rotatably linked to the sliding carriage guided on the vertical guidebeam (18). Alternatively, the second guidebeam (18'') may be mounted on the sliding carriage (28) guided on the vertical guidebeam (18) and may carry another sliding carriage (28) which in turn holds the tool or upon which is movably guided a third guidebeam (18'). The guidebeams and sliding carriages of the tool stand may be assembled in widely varying configurations adapted to the prevailing conditions and space available during stone sawing and boring.
