A method and apparatus of forming a light control window covering having a pair of parallel sheets of material with a plurality of vanes adhesively bonded along edge portion to said pair of sheets of material which in a first closed position of the window covering are substantially parallel to the pair of sheets and in a second open position extend generally normal to the pair of sheets in which the adhesive strips (34,36) bonding the vanes (32) to the parallel sheets (42,44) are dulled by heating the adhesive and pressing it against a textured or roughened cooling surface (58).
