<p>A heat exchanger comprising a number of annular helical channels confined within a cylindrical housing and fed with exchange fluids via isolated partitioned terminal chambers at each extremity of the cylinder. Alternate ends of the helices are blocked to create a diversity of individual channels which may be plugged to control the flow rates of less viscous fluids e.g. air. The central zone pref. acts as a fluid chamber with uppr and lower access ports for admission of specific exchange fluid. The device is simple to fabricate with good exchange characteristics.</p> |
