<p>A miter saw including a base (52) for placing a workpiece thereon, a substantially circular turn table (53) mounted on the base (52), a slide member (63) radially slidably supported in the turn table (53), an arm (54) mounted to the slide member (63), and a miter saw unit (57) provided above the turn table (53) and vertically swingably mounted to the arm (54) in such a manner as to be opposed to the turn table (53). The miter saw unit (57) has a cutting tool (55) such as a circular saw blade and means (56) for driving the cutting tool. A supporting portion (64a) of the slide member with respect to the turn table is located at a position in the vicinity of a load application point of the cutting tool.</p> |
