<p>The package (1) is of the type comprising at least two sides (3) and a bottom intended to support a load (CH) to be packed. According to the invention, the load is held in position against the bottom during handling and transporting of the package and the package is reusable for packing different loads, by virtue of racks (5) integral with the internal faces (31) of the sides (3), and a locating (holding) element (4). The element (4) has edge portions (41), which interact with notches (51) of the racks, and an inner face (45) which is intended to be applied against the load (CH) and preferably to cover the top of the load.
