<p>Pigment composns. are prepd. from (a) at least one colourant, insoluble in water and the organic solvents used for drawing fibres from cellulose esters; (b) a non-ionic surfactant, insoluble or only slightly soluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents used in drawing fibres from cellulose esters, in a quantity (B), of 1-10% (pref. 2-6%) wt. (A) of colourant, and (c) a cellulose ester in a quantity (C) such that 100.A/A+B+C = 20-95, (pref. 50-95), the surfactant and cellulose ester form a coating on the colourant particles. The composns. are used for colouring cellulose esters before drawing into fibres.</p> |
