PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of cracks by thermal shock and the resultant break-out. CONSTITUTION:The objective refractory for connecting a mold and a tandish for horizontal continuous casting is composed of 8-30wt.% of aluminum oxide, 4-30wt.% of aluminum nitride, 7-70wt.% of boron nitride and the remaining part of silicon nitride and inevitable impurities. The average particle diameter of the raw material is <=5mum. |
