PURPOSE:To measure the correlation among velocity, dispersion, and intensity by adding the two-dimensional color change both in the velocity of the moving part inside a living body and in the velocity dispersion to the luminance change corresponding to ultrasonic reflection intensity for displaying them by color. CONSTITUTION:The color and luminance specified by respective physical quantities on the calculated velocity information, velocity dispersion information, and ultrasonic reflection information are determined, and this color and luminance are displayed with image information. The x axis is the velocity dispersion axis, and the velocity dispersion 6 is shown, for example, by a green component. The y axis is the velocity axis, and the sign (+) denotes the approaching direction, and the approaching velocity vi is shown, for example, by a red component. The sign (-) denotes the receding direction, and the receding velocity vi is shown, for example, by a blue component. The z axis is the ultrasonic reflection intensity axis, and the ultrasonic reflection intensity (p) is shown by a luminance component. Yx1 is dark yellow, BGx2 dark deep blue green, Ry1 dark deep red, BGy2 dark deep blue, and O is the boundary between pale red and pale blue, respectively.
