PURPOSE:To provide the subject new gene useful, e.g. for diagnosis of side- effects caused by an amino group-containing aromatic substance. CONSTITUTION:A human arylamine N-acetyltransferase type 1 gene containing a base sequence coding an amino acid sequence of the formula. Poly(A)<+>RNA of human liver obtained by autopsy is purified and human lambdagt10cDNA library is prepared. Rabbit liver NATcDNA is used as a probe so as to isolate 24 positive clones from 3X10<6> recombinant phages. Thereby, three types (CD-14, O-7 and D-24) of cDNA are obtained and each of them is isolated and purified by agarose gel electrophoresis. |
