PURPOSE:To improve continuous spot weldability of an Al-Mg-Si series aluminum alloy material, to prolong the life of an electrode and to obtain a stable spot weld zone having high strength. CONSTITUTION:The Al-Mg-Si series aluminum alloy material wherein 0.3-1.5wt.% Mg and 0.4-1.5wt.% Si and the balance Al with inevitable impurities are contained, and as occasion demands, one or >=2 kinds among 0.01-1.0wt.% Cu, 0.01-0.6wt.% Mn, 0.01-0.3wt.% Cr, 0.01-0.25wt.% Zr and 0.01-0.3wt.% V are contained is used. This aluminum alloy material is treated with aqueous solution containing inorganic acid and after an oxide film and stuck material such as residual rolling oil on the surface are removed, spot welding is carried out by using an electrode having a protruded tip of 20-450mm radius of curvature and >=4.5sq. rt. tmm diameter (where t shows the plate thickness mm of aluminum alloy material). |
