PURPOSE:To arbitrarily control a bending angle in the bending of a metal plate. CONSTITUTION:In the bending method by which the metal plate 16 is bent by abutting a metal die 12 on the metal plate 16, the part on which the metal plate 16 is abutted by the metal die 12 is formed into a projected face; the abutting position of the metal die 12 on the metal plate 16, on the abutted part that varies with the penetrating movement of the metal die 12, is measured to obtain the position information; the bending angle of the metal plate 16 is obtained from the position information; and from this information for the bending angle, the penetrating amount of the metal die 12 is controlled. |
