PURPOSE:To perform a discarding work of an ink in a filter easily without contaminating hand or the inside of the device with ink by a method wherein a filter body at the primary side of a filter and an air reservoir part at the top of an ink holding container are communicated by a switching means. CONSTITUTION:An ink feeding pipe 2, which is derived from an ink holding container 1, is connected to a recording nozzle 8 while going through a pressurizing pump 3, a filter 4, a pressure regulating valve 5, a pressure gauge 6 and a solenoid valve 7 in order. From a filter body on the primary side of the filter 4, an air intake pipe 14 is derived. This air intake pipe 14 is used to remove an ink in the filter 4, and the removal is performed by opening a solenoid valve 13 and operating a recovery pump 11. All the motions are controlled by a control unit 16. |
