<p>PURPOSE:To prevent rear wheels from being steered in a state that a staring amount extremely exceeds a value necessary for the safety. CONSTITUTION:A four-wheel steering device is provided with a front wheel steering device 1 to steer front wheels 8 through movement of a front rack rod 4 by rotation of a handle 3, and a rear wheel steering device 2 to steer rear wheels 18 through movement of a rear rack rod 11 with the aid of an electric motor 32. The rear wheel steering device 2 is provided with a maximum steering amount regulating device 40 having a variable regulating member capable of mechanically limiting a maximum movement amount of the rear rack rod 11 and regulating the maximum movement amount. A hydraulic device which transfers movement of the front rack rod 4 to movement of a variable regulating member by means of liquid, with which the inside is sealed, so that, with the increase of a movement amount of the front rack rod 4, a maximum movement amount of the rear rack rod 11 mechanically limited by the variable regulating member is increased is located between the front and rear wheel steering devices 1 and 2.</p> |
