PURPOSE:To extend a slush pipe which has maintained the pressure of a cutting face. CONSTITUTION:Chambers 15a and 15b for a mud supply pipeline 70 and chambers 15c and 15d for a mud discharge pipeline 71 are laid out in the upper and lower sides of a main body 11. A gate 16 is installed to each of the chambers 15a, 15b, 15c and 15d so as to open and close each chamber freely in such a fashion that each of them may be communicated and isolated. During pipe extension work, the upper and lower gates are opened and closed one after another so that the pipe is supplied into the main body 11 and added. This pipe adding work is carried out in the chamber 15b or 15d in a pressurized state. |
