PURPOSE:To obtain a desensitizing ink for pressure-sensitive copying paper which is excellent in light resistance and desensitizing property by incorporating a desensitizer and a specific hydroxyphenylbenzotriazole compound. CONSTITUTION:This ink for use in producing a pressure-sensitive copying paper contains a desensitizer (e.g., an alkylene oxide adduct of an amine) and a hydroxyphenylbenzotriazole compound (a) represented by the formula (wherein R1 is a 2-6C linear alkyl and R2 is a 1-4C linear alkyl) [e.g. 2-[2'-hydroxy-4'-(2''- ethylhexyl)oxyphenyl]-benzotriazole]. Conventional desensitizing inks are defective in that the desensitizing ability is reduced by light, heat, etc., the desensitizer applied to a given part migrates, because of heat, etc., to a part serving as a copying area to desensitize that part which should not be desensitized, and the part coated with the ink turns brown upon exposure to light. By incorporating the benzatriazole compound and a desensitizer, a desensitizing ink is obtained which is free from those problems and has excellent desensitizing properties. |
