PURPOSE:To provide a long strip winding device capable of preventing the generation of damage on the strip when the strip is wound on a winding drum, by grinding the surface of the winding drum and thereby reducing roughness on the surface of the drum. CONSTITUTION:A grinding mechanism 7 is provided by which the surface of the winding drum 3, facing opposed to the drum, is ground. This grinding mechanism 7 is provided with a grinding member 26 that is brought into contact with the winding drum 3, rotary driving mechanisms 25, 27, 28 by which the grinding member 26 is rotated, and moving mechanisms 16, 17 by which the grinding member 26 is attached to and detached from the winding drum 3. |
