PURPOSE:To impart anti-slip properties to a graphite-containing refractory brick through electrostatic coating and to buffer the thermal expansion of the brick during use by blending an organic powder having a specific softening point with a coating powder comprising a thermosetting synthetic resin which begins to cure at a specific temp., in a specific proportion. CONSTITUTION:This composition comprises a coating powder comprising a thermosetting synthetic resin which begins to cure at 100-150 deg.C which is lower than the preheating temp. for a graphite-containing refractory brick to be coated and 5-50wt.% organic powder having a softening point of 180 deg.C or higher which is higher than the above preheating temp., such as a hard coal or petroleum pitch powder or a coke powder. |
