PURPOSE:To improve the catalytic performance by adding rare earth metal oxide into Ru.ZrO2.Al2O3 catalyst obtd. by using a zirconia sol as a precursor. CONSTITUTION:The catalyst is prepared by depositing and calcining a zirconia sol as the precursor of zirconia on an Al2O3 carrier, depositing and calcining rare earth metal compds. on the carrier, adding ruthenium chloride, and then calcining, Alkaline-earth metal oxides may be added if necessary. In this way, by adding rare earth metal oxides as another catalyst-aid component into a Ru.ZrO2.Al2O3 catalyst obtd. by using a specified zirconia precursor (zirconia sol), the obtd. catalyst has especially excellent high temp. activity and heat resistance of the activity. |
