PURPOSE:To keep the printing density of printed characted always stable by a method wherein density of a character part of the printed matter is measured, and density based on the same of sight and the size of the character is calculated to control density of a different page or gathering. CONSTITUTION:Printed character matter 0 of a control object to be measured is set on a transparent frame 1a above an image scanner 1 so that a surface to be inspected of the printed character matter 0 comes in contact with the frame 1a. Then, by closing a shading door 1b and making a switch 1c, a data from the image scanner 1 starts to be transmitted to a processor 2. This data is made numeric by a numeric making means 21 and further, a measuring density value is calculated. A correction value is calculated by using a stored approximate formula by a sensory density value calculating means 23, and a density value based on the same of sight of a character part in the printed character matter 0 is calculated. |
