<p>PURPOSE:To keep a battery mounted on an electric vehicle so as to be within a specified temperature range. CONSTITUTION:A battery 41 as the power source for an electric automobile 1 is accommodated in a battery accommodating chamber 40. The electric automobile 1 is equipped with a heat pump type air conditioner 3, and the air whose temperature is adjusted by the air conditioner 3 is supplied into a battery accommodating chamber 40. If the temperature of the battery 41 rises in electric charge, the air conditioner 3 is driven to cooling side, and the battery 41 is cooled by the cold air supplied from the air conditioner 3. Further, when the battery temperature is low, the air conditioner 3 is driven to the warming side, and the battery 41 is heated by the warm air supplied from the air conditioner 3. In order to obtain the sufficiently warm air also in the case wheer the outside air temperature is low, an auxiliary heat exchanger 28 which is heated by a combustion heater 29 is installed.</p> |
