<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an object sensor which functions with relatively low power and can distinguish an object over a wide angle range with high resolution without being influenced by disturbing light. CONSTITUTION:An object sensor comprises a solid light emitting element 2 for emitting light 1 which has been modulated in light emission amount, a driver 4 which angle-oscillates and projects emitted light from the solid light emitting element 2 to an object so that it is slow in the vicinity of the center of oscillation compared with sine wave oscillation and it is fast in the vicinity of maximum amplitude, a light receiving element 5 which receives reflection from a surface of the object 3 to convert it into a signal and an electronic circuit 6 for amplifying and demodulating the received signal.</p> |
