<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine which can complete regeneration of a deteriorated filter, even when combustible particulates remains at the time of regeneration of the particulate filter, at the time of next regeneration treatment. CONSTITUTION:In an exhaust emission control device, electricity is supplied to a heating means H when a capturing amount of particulates in exhaust gas is a specified value or more, at the same time regenerating gas is supplied from a regenerating gas supply means 9 for combustion and regeneration of a filter 5. An amount of combustible particulates in the filter 5 is detected. In a first phase, the larger the combustible particulates amount in the vicinity of the heating means H is, the smaller the heating rate of the heating means H is. In a second phase, the larger is the combustible particulates amount in the vicinity of the heating means H, the smaller in the supply amount of the regenerating gas from the regenerating gas supply means 9.</p> |
