<p>Compsn. contg. a pigment a binder, an anionic dispersion agent, opt. an optical brightening agent and usual additives dispersed in water, is improved by the addn. of polyvinylpyrrolidone (having a K-value of 15-90 in 1% aqs. soln.) in an amount of 2 x 10-4 to 50 x 10-4% w.r.t. the wt. of the pigment. Polyvinylpyrrolidone enhances the effect of the optical brightening agent, reduces the viscosity of the composn. and improves properties of the coated paper.</p> |
