PURPOSE:To increase the life time of a machine together with reduction of the power consumption by recording automatically the picture element data stored in a memory to a recording paper and therefore preventing the shortage of the memory capacity and the errors of the transmission side and also to increase the life time of a polygonal motor to prevent the temperature rise and the power consumption in a facsimile equipment. CONSTITUTION:The storage capacity of a memory is detected under the control of a program (S3), and an image generating device is automatically started when the detected memory capacity exceeds a fixed level (S5). Then the picture element data are recorded (S6). Meanwhile the motor which revolves a polygonal mirror is stopped or driven at a low revolving speed in a recording mode. Furthermore the power supply of a fixing part is cut off in a recording stop mode so that the temperature rise is prevented. |
