<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the data input device which prevents misindication and misoperation and is safe and improved in reliability by accepting an input request when a specific area on the screen of a display device is pressed in conformity with the conventional operation custom of a push button. CONSTITUTION:This data input device is equipped with a coordinate data input unit 22 which outputs the coordinate position signal of an indicated position in response to an input indication made by an indicator 2 such as a finger on the screen of the display device displaying figures, characters, etc., a coordinate position detection device 5 which detects the input coordinate position according to the coordinate position signal from the indicator 22, a cursor output device 6 which outputs a cursor indicating the position at the input indicated position on the display screen of the display device 1, an indication data input unit 21 which outputs an input request signal by the indicator 2, and a cursor position reader 23 which reads the input request signal from the input unit 21 and the cursor position signal from the cursor output device 6 and outputs a cursor position signal.</p> |
