<p>PURPOSE:To ensure a high hardness transparent smooth surface for a color filter by forming the overcoat layer of the color filter with a photosensitive compsn. prepd. by blending an acrylic copolymer having specified groups in the side chain as a binding component with a specified compd. and a photopolymn. initiator. CONSTITUTION:Red, green and blue colored picture element layers are patternwise formed on a transparent substrate and an overcoat layer is formed on the surfaces of the picture element layers with a photosensitive compsn. prepd. by blending an acrylic copolymer having carboxyl and ethylenic unsatd. groups in the side chain as a binding component with a multifunctional ethylenic unsatd. compd. and a photopolymn. initiator. The acrylic copolymer preferably contains at least styrene and methyl methacrylate as copolymerizable components. The photosensitive compsn. ensures satisfactory transparency, sufficiently high hardness and excellent ability to smoothen a picture element forming surface.</p> |
