<p>PURPOSE:To avoid an operating error when the ordinary detecting operation and the operation of a relay conveyor which passes and transfers an inspecting body unnecessary to be subjected to detection are switched by a power switch, or to prevent that signals cannot be transmitted to or received from an external device in a metal detecting apparatus which judges the presence/absence of a mixed metal while transferring the inspecting bodies on the conveyor. CONSTITUTION:A data storing means 35 stores the data, e.g. phase data D, phi, reference value data Dv, etc., to detect mixed metals stably with high sensitivity, and the judgement indicating data Dh to indicate whether it is necessary to make a judgement as to the mixture of metals corresponding to codes of the kinds of products. When a code of the kind of product is designated via an operating part 37 or an interface circuit 40, a data read means 36 reads data of the designated kind of product. In the case where the read judgement indicating data Dh is the data of 'judgement off', a judging means 33 stops a mixture decision function through comparison of the detected output with a reference value.</p> |
