PURPOSE:To obtain source information data without enlarging a device and damaging the utilization efficiency of frequencies by providing a means for controlling a variable frequency oscillator based on frequency information. CONSTITUTION:The device W for demodulating a diffused spectrum signal S with a carrier as a medium is provided with a variable frequency oscillator 14, frequency converting means, demodulating means 17 for inversely diffusing the signal with the same PN system as a transmission side, digital frequency detecting means for producing the frequency information of the signal after the frequency conversion, and means 36 for controlling the variable frequency oscillator 14 based on the frequency information. Then, the control means 36 produces a control signal SC for the variable frequency oscillator 14 based on the respective frequencies and spectrum levels of a first spectrum component at a maximum level obtains by the digital frequency detecting means and a second spectrum component adjacent to a first spectrum component. |
