<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an onboard radar apparatus robust against interferences and obstructions. CONSTITUTION:The distance to a target is measured by the spread spectrum system, whereby tone resistance to interferences and obstructions is enhanced. A reference transmission pseudo noise (PN) signal is delayed in two stages by delay circuits 36, 38 to ensure a coarse distance resolution by the delay circuit 36 and a fine distance resolution by the delay circuit 38. The relative speed to the target is obtained by controlling the frequency of a VCO 34 so as to make the output of a comparator 44 maximum.</p> |
