Sailing boat with novel propulsion system - comprises mast and keel fixed together and pivoting about horizontal axis

The mast and keel are fixed together to form the propulsion system (1) which pivots around a horizontal axis (2) parallel to the longitudinal axis of the boat. In the case of a monohull either the "propeller" (1) pivoting axis is at the level of the bridge, with a keel inside the hull or outside under the hull, or the pivoting axis is at the bottom of the hull when the keel is under the hull. In the case of a catamaran the pivoting axis is at the level of the platform connecting two hulls. The mast and keel (3) move in a vertical plane perpendicular to the axis of travel without influencing the stability of the hull which stays on the water surface. ADVANTAGE - Provides gain in speed as the keel does not brake forward movement and improves stability.
