PURPOSE:To prevent such a case where the band width is extremely reduced in a multi-repeating state and the allowable deviation of the transmitting wavelength is strictly limited when an optical BPF is contained in an optical repeater using an optical amplifier. CONSTITUTION:A centralwavelength variable BPF 2 is connected to the output of an optical amplifier 1, and the output of the BPF 2 is inputted to an optical branching filter 3. One of both ends of the filter 3 is used as the repeater output with the other end inputted to an optical detector 4 respectively. The output of the detector 4 is inputted to a control circuit 5. Then the control output of the circuit 5 is connected to the control terminal of the BPF 2. |
