PURPOSE:To enable short-time processing without requiring any memory where character font data are developed by storing a character font corresponding to characters in the form of run-length character font data, and performing only the connection conversion of final read run-length data and initial run- length data on a next character and outputting them at the time of reading operation. CONSTITUTION:A character code storage part 1 stores character codes constituting a document. A run-length character font storage part 2 stores the character font corresponding to the character codes in the form of run-length data. A run-length character font connection part 3 reads the run-length character font out of the run-length character font storage part 2 corresponding to the character codes stored in the character code storage part 1 in order, and converts it into successive run-length data to connect the data. Thus, only the connection conversion of the final read run-length data and run-length data on the initial character is performed and the data are outputted at the time of the reading operation. |
