PURPOSE:To obtain the cleaning device provided with a toner recovering structure where the efficiency of the recovery is not lowered by making the state of distribution of the recovered toner to be even with a simple structure. CONSTITUTION:A restricting member 6C1 to restrict free movement of the toner is provided inside the toner recovering container 6C where the toner scraped off from a surface of a photosensitive body is carried by a carrying member and this restricting member 6C1 is so constituted that it is placed inclined in a state where it is spread from upstream side of the toner carrying direction to the downstream side when seen as a plane so that the toner carried from a position where the quantity of scraped off toner is greatest, can be most quickly dispersed and moved outward in the axial direction of the carrying member, the toner filled in a space constituted by this restricting member 6C1 is made to flow over to an adjacent space and finally, the full detection sensor 7 placed in a central part of the axis is made to respond to the toner. |
