The front-loading type CD auto changer for loading and playing 5 pieces of CDs at a time, comprises a pinion drum (3) with semi- circular wall (31) for locking tray (2); a pinion means, for moving tray (2), engaged with rack (3); a CD protecting means including separation plate (7') fixed on deck body (1) and turning plate (7), for preventing loading of a new CD on playing CD simultaneously; a signal generating means (sensor) including projection (62) arranged in a line at the bottom of roulette (9) for generating signals of CD selection and roulette stopping.
