PURPOSE:To prolong the life of a part which is brought into contact with a photosensitive body by making the rotation starting time for a motor driving the photosensitive body different according to required time for carrying an original and a paper. CONSTITUTION:A controlling part 39 makes the rotation of a main motor 47 start after time t1 from the time when a printing button is turned on in a normal mode in which the document is directly arranged on a document placing platen, and is copied. On the other hand, the main motor 47 starts rotating after the time t2 from the time when the printing button is turned on in a RDH mode in which copying is executed by using a circulating type document feeder(RDH). The time t2 is set longer than the time t1, and the time t2 is decided by considering the feeding time of the document by means of the RDH. By executing the control, the rotation starting time of the main motor 47 is delayed in the RDH mode, so that the rotating time of a photosensitive drum can be nearly constant regardless of whether it is the normal mode or the RDH mode. Consequently, the rotating time of the photosensitive drum is prevented from being prolonged in the RDH mode. |
