PURPOSE:To not only vary the pitch of an input signal, but also perform proper control over its timbre features. CONSTITUTION:A sound signal is inputted to waveguide networks WGN1-WGN3 consisting of plural signal transmitting signals PA1, PA2 ... which output input signals with variable delay times and junctions which perform arithmetic for simulating signal scattering at the connection parts of the means PA1, PA2.... A delay control means 10 varies the delay time of at least one signal transmitting means with time at a variation rate corresponding to a desired pitch change quantity. Consequently, the pitch variation corresponding to the variation rate can be given to the sound signal and desired feature characteristics providing acoustic spreads corresponding to the characteristics of the waveguide networks WGN1-WGN3 can also be imparted to the sound signal at the same time. |
