PURPOSE:To effectively utilize a tape assembly of electronic components by connecting the components of the assembly wound on a reel on the way of using in an apparatus for connecting the components of the assembly to be used in an electronic component mounting machine. CONSTITUTION:One starting end of an electronic component 1 of a tape assembly wound on a reel 2 on the way of using and the same finishing end which is separately prepared are superposed by a positioning unit. The superposed part is fusion-bonded by a heated heater 4 by pressing it by a lever 6, thereby easily connecting the component 1. Thus, the component 1 of the assembly in which residual components are reduced and which is disposed can be effectively utilized on the way of using at the time of switching a type. When the component 1 of the residual assembly is used as it is, the fact that the component immediately lacks to deteriorate an operating efficiency of an apparatus for connecting it is reduced. |
