The subject of the present invention is a new gate, preferably metal, comprising articulated elements, which is suitable for blocking or closing a passageway for movement of people and goods. Its purpose is to simplify its fabrication, to reduce the necessary movements in closing it and opening it, and to reduce and simplify the mechanisms which control the aforesaid gate shutters when outfitted with and controlled by automatic means.
