PURPOSE:To unnecessitate a large capacity of memory by successively executing a painting-out processing at the time of detecting the overflow of the storage area of an outline data storage means. CONSTITUTION:At the time of judging the completion of the trace of the entire outlines of a pertinent graphic, a painting out processing part 1 aligns an edge list, operates the painting-out processing, and judges whether or not an area to be painted-out is left just like the conventional painting-out processing. Then, at the time of judging the overflow, when the overflow of an edge list memory 3 is not detected at all, the painting-out processing part 1 judges that the entire area of the pertinent graphic is painted-out, and that the area to be painted-out is not left, and ends the painting out processing. When the area to be painted-out is left, the painting-out processing part 1 uses the area at the lower side of the previously painted area as a new graphic outline, searches the minimum value and maximum value of the Y coordinate of the graphic outline, and sets a range between the minimum value and the maximum value as a new valid scan line. |
