PURPOSE:To provide a small lighting device of a hot-cathode discharge lamp having an inverter circuit at a low cost by eliminating a current limiting impedance member on the secondary side of an inverter oscillation transformer. CONSTITUTION:A gap adjusting film 7 serving as a junction gap section between ferrite cores 4a, 4b of the oscillation transformer of an inverter circuit feeding the drive power to the filament electrode of a hot-cathode discharge lamp is provided near a high-voltage insulating wall 6 located at the boundary between the winding section of the primary side P and the winding section of the secondary side S of a winding bobbin 5. |
