PURPOSE:To enable a nonaqueous electrolyte lithium battery to have improved storage characteristic and charge/discharge cycle characteristic because what is prepared by causing a heterocyclic compound, whose hetero element is S and/or N, to be added to a solution obtained by causing a solute containing a fluorine-containing lithium salt to be solved into a nonaqueous solvent containing ethylene carbonate. CONSTITUTION:A nonaqueous electrolyte lithium battery comprises a positive electrode made chiefly of a metal oxide, a negative electrode made chiefly of lithium, or a material capable of storing/emitting lithium, a separator interposed between the positive and the negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The nonaqueous electrolyte is prepared by causing a heterocyclic compound, whose hetero element is S and/or N, to be added to a solution obtained by causing a solute containing a fluorine-containing lithium salt to be solved into a nonaqueous solvent containing ethylene carbonate. |
