PURPOSE:To avoid trouble resulting from the processing of sort mode by inhibiting the processing in sort mode when one transfer sheet is enough because of its relation with copy mode, even in the case of a both-side original or a plurality of originals. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with an automatic sheet feeding means 2 which feeds originals one by one and is used for copying, and a sheet ejecting means 3 which selectively ejects transfer sheets, which are ejected after copying, with the sheets either in sorted or non-sorted state. The device also can process the original mode for dealing with difference between one-side original and both-side original and the copy mode for dealing with how to copy the images of originals on one transfer sheet. In the above copying device 1, a control means which judges, from the original mode and the copy mode, whether all originals can be copied on one transfer sheet or not and, if possible, exerts control so that the sort mode is inhibited is provided. |
