Supporting framework, e.g. for floor slab shuttering - uses secondary beams with coupling elements on its ends to engage with main beams

The supporting framework consists of main beams to which secondary beams (1) are attached by coupling elements (3) connected to the two ends of the secondary beams and engaging with recesses in the main beams. Each of the coupling elements has a pointed tip (9) at the top which presents and reduced contact surface (9a) with the edge of the secondary beam. Each coupling element has sides (11) which project beyond those of the secondary beam, and its tip is curved or rounded, e.g. in the form of the rounded apex of a triangle. The coupling elements are fitted onto the ends of the secondary beams by screws, and their lower edges project to sit in recesses in the main beams. ADVANTAGE - More convenient and safer to assemble, at lower cost.
