PURPOSE:To detect chords appropriate to a performance by a sequencer and to a performance on a keyboard and make chords of an automatic performance such as an automatic accompaniment proper, when both the performances are carried out. CONSTITUTION:As for sequence data stored in a sequence data memory 3, chords are detected by discrimination sections of specific length such as a half measure. The sequence performance and the keyboard performance on the keyboard 2 are carried out and when chords are not detected from key-ON key codes of the keyboard 2, chords detected from the sequence data are specified in an automatic accompaniment device 4. When the chords can not be detected even from the sequence data, chords are detected from the key-ON key codes of the keyboard 2 and key-ON key codes of the sequence data and specified in the automatic accompaniment device 4. |
