<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the space occupied by a bar code on a printing medium by displaying a sole number which is given to all the necessary number of combinations of respective pieces of information required for reserving a broadcasting program and that different from the enumeration of numerics or codes showing respective pieces of information. CONSTITUTION:The combinations of respective pieces of information for reserving the program of a television are displayed by the bar code of eight digits in maximum. The bar code is read in a bar code read part 12 and is sent to a decoder 14 as a digital signal showing the number, is converted into respective numbers (total 14 digits) showing a channel, a date, start time and setting time in accordance with a decoding procedure, and they are stored in a storage device 16 as reservation setting data. A data transfer part 20 reads reservation setting data from the storage device 16 and transfers it to a driving output transmission circuit for recording in a broadcasting program recording device. Thus, the bar code can be printed in the comparatively small space, and an operation mechanism can easily be constituted. Then, a circuit for decoding can easily be designed.</p> |
