A surgical orthosis consists of an elastic bandage with a three point fixing. The front end (2) of the bandage is folded over the end of the big toe and holds a sponge, rubber pad (5) in place. The end of the bandage is secured by a strap (3) which has its ends fastened together by a hook-pile fastener. The outside surface of the bandage has a pad (4) for the fastener with the opposite end of the bandage. USE/ADVANTAGE - For correcting Hallux valgus (bunions) and similar deformities or for use in post-operative treatment. The device is easily fastened.
