The holder has fixing strips (3,4) extending downwards from the U-shaped holder (2), which comprises a web and two arms (6,7). Portions (10) on one or both arms are bent over, to hold the beam in place. They can be integral with the arms, while extending round one top edge of the beam at least. They can be narrower than the arms, and can have claws (11) by which they engage in the beam. There can be one or more such portions on each arm, and they can be of different lengths. USE/ADVANTAGE - Roof ridge-beam holder is economical in material, with rapid fixing, and less risk of injury to operator.
